| This is a hearty miesel that can be made from scratch or with the leftovers in your fridge. It's perfect comfort food for those with a hearty appetite on a cold winter's night. Pair it with a nice dark beer, say any stout, and it doesn't get much better.
1 ˝-2 lbs Ground Beef Preheat your oven to 375 F. Start by browning all the ground beef in a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Once cooked all the way through, remove excess grease and fat from the pan with a ladle. Add vegetables and season liberally with salt, peppers, garlic salt, Italian herbs and rosemary. Cook until vegetables are thawed or warmed through. Taste for seasoning and make any necessary enhancements. Spoon and spread beef and vegetable mixture into a large, square baking dish (9"x9" works good). Next, spread mashed potatoes over the top evenly and season top again with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Bake for 20 minutes, then broil top for two-three minutes to give the top a nice golden-brown crunch. Serve immediately.
